Two and a Half Men Season 10

I had hoped that Mr. Lorre’s writing skills might make these post-Charlie years at least partially as amusing as the first eight seasons. I was wrong. Although our new Leading Man is attractive and amiable enough, the portrait of Allan as an unregenerate free-loader is not only not funny, it’s more than a little creepy. Why the producers decided to let him give up his never-quite-successful-enough chiropractic business and simply become a 40-something stay-at-home pain-in-the-ass escapes me. I found myself looking at the screen in disbelief far more often than I found myself laughing. As others have advised before me, stop with Season Eight! No Charlie! No Show!-RANDEL
The humor in Season 10 is definitely more direct crudity, not quite as subtle as with Charlie but I certainly wouldn’t classify it as course or foul… it’s so darn funny no matter how you look at it. Some funny guests appear as well. Maybe not be everyone’s taste (as could also be said with Charlie) but I loved Season 10. Ashton plays the part of Walden so well. He’s not trying to be Charlie, he is his own character. The one complaint I have about the show is that Alan is too much in Season 10. I actually get irritated with some of his shenanigans. Mean and deceitful to a level that is beginning to really make me hate the character. He used to be a sponge.. that was ok, now he’s bordering on being an open thief and liar. I don’t think that’s helpful as it makes Walden look stupid for letting him abuse their friendship, and Walden by default is NOT an idiot. Let this continue much longer and you’ll lose some loyal followers, you’re insulting my intelligence with Alan’s behavior, tone it down.-Stephen Johnston
Ashton has his moments of making it funny. But Charlie Sheen was right – the show lived because of him. Why the Alan Harper character had to dumb down the way he did, all I can suspect is Chuck Lorre was trying to kill the show off by making the loyal fans wish harakiri was a viable option. At least for their eyes. I would give it 1 star but all things considered, the loyal fan in me has to support Berta and Walden.- Vale
