Broke Girls Season 2
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I’ve only watched the first two seasons and while (for the most part) I do enjoy the show, the writing and lewd jokes do tend to get old after a while…to the point where I wonder how there are six seasons of this show. This show has its cute moments and the two main characters are likeable enough for me to see if they ever do reach their goals; plus I am interested in the growth they both go through.
CBS has this habit of finding something that audiences enjoy for a season or two and continuing with it-even if the gags/jokes begin wearing thin and even when the writers begin writing the same arcs/scenarios. I hope that this series stays relatively likeable and doesn’t fall into the category of shows: “I just watch this, because I want to see how it ends”.-Esmee
I enjoyed the first season of this show and the second continued the good episodes. There were a few moments that were off-color or not so great, but overall, the characters continue to be interesting and likable. The season starts out with cupcake shop which eventually goes under leading to a shift in focus for the stories. In some ways, it’s a nice change of pace although it leaves the show without a clear direction for a bit. The acting isn’t necessarily the best on TV, but somehow the characters all fit. The one thing about this season that was a little different was that the relationship between the two main characters was a bit edgier at times. If you liked the first season of this show, you should definitely check out the second.-Amazon Customer
Not quite the endlessly hilarious season that season 1 is — think perhaps the network’s desire for the show to be a little less politically IN-correct (especially where some of the stereotypes are concerned) in season 2 definitely made the second season LESS funny — but then again the comedic timing not only between Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings, but also the other uniformly-superb cast members, too, is sooo spot-on each and every episode that it’s ALWAYS a delight to be in their company.- John R.
