Dallas Season 2
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Rest in Peace J.R. Ewing – Long Lives J.R.
We have long waited for a continuing show from the original “Dallas” which run for 14 years and TV Specials. This second (16th) Season is very emotional because Larry Hagman died during the season and the writer/producer got the dilemma to write to scripts/storylines but in my mind: they did a good job.
Episode 8 is about J.R.’s funeral and homage to Larry Hagman. At J.R.’s funeral have some “Woman” from his past-life a cameo.
But who thinks the show is now at the end – forget it… J.R. still has some surprises.
Its entertaining, thrilling… Sue Ellen (always great Linda Gray) is going to be now more or less the bad guy… Valene (Joan Van Ark) is showing up in Dallas, also Gary (Ted Shakelford) and more surprises.
Ann is dealing with her past. Christopher is trying to find his Mother Pamela Ewing (Cliff Barnes sister).
Its still very interesting to see the Ewing family and how they deal with their business, family and trouble with the enemy Cliff/Rebecca-Pamela Barnes.
THE DVD:
Sound and Picture Quality are great.
Contains english subtitles
Bonus-Features are interesting, several documentaries like the fashion in Dallas, Interviews with Cast/Crew, a last Interview/Conversation with Larry Hagman, Remembering/Homage to Larry Hagman, a extented cut of a episode.
FAZIT: for long time Dallas fans definitive a MUST have.
Sure there a few things I don’t like but that does happen sometime in a TV show a few times.

I started watching the original Dallas with my grandmother back late seventies. I am know sharing it with my kids. The new Dallas is as good as the original. The actors they have chosen to play Christopher and John Ross are the “new” Bobby and JR. Josh Henderson has captured John Ross to a T! His depth and drive as JR’s son, tip to tail, is wonderful to watch.
I hope TNT will continue with the show, it will be hard with JR gone, but if they give the actors the story they will carry it.
RIP Larry Hagman! Thank you for all the years of wonderful entertainment!

I watched this show and was impressed so much of how they handled the passing of Larry (JR Ewing) I cried like a baby when he passed and it was like losing a old family friend I have know all my life since a child. But Josh (John Ross Ewing) has stepped into his Daddy’s shoes and now I can see so much of his Daddy in him and the love of family in him. Sue Ellen is just as Beautiful inside and out on this show and stronger. Bobby is great and still a good family man and his son is so much like him so that will make him proud. I suggest this show to anyone rather you watched the original one or not you will enjoy the hot love scenes and the adventure and maybe even learn a little bit about the new oil business. Great show Just cant say enough on this and how much I love it.
