Under the Dome Season 3
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Picking up right where season 2 left off, Barbie and a few others find themselves in a white expanse and then outside of the dome following their mysterious encounter in the tunnels beneath the town. As the Dome begins to reveal its ultimate agenda, the townspeople are forced to question what and whom they can trust as fresh threats appear, new residents emerge and surprising alliances form.
I love Sci-Fi so can accept most plots as part of the fantasy. This one did have Spielberg and King involved so I stuck with it and it did have it’s rather awesome moments,. By season 3 I started to long for an ending and the epilogue gave some closure, showing how each of the main characters had moved on. However several discoveries in the wrap-up made it clear that another season would just be a renewed struggle to save an independent-thinking world. Then, in the very last scene it became obvious the cycle of mental slavery would repeat itself. Therefore, I don’t think I would have persevered with another season of the same.

OMG…it was like watching Dexter all over again. Once I start something, I unfortunately always feel compelled to finish it. Stephen King movies are always campy and the acting is always wanting, but this sunk down to a new low. I felt like the concept was cool (come on, we all knew aliens would make an appearance at some point; it’s Stephen King), but it totally dragged on and what made it worse was how each character was totally gullable/easy to turn. I’m so glad it’s over…

Season 1 started out a bit weird and slow but by the end of Season 1 you were hooked and Season 2 didn’t disappoint with its intrigue . Season 3 just goes off the weirdness deep end. The plot/storyline is full of holes and dead ends. The characters have become less believable and the show is re-using themes and have been overused in the sci-fi realm. The whole thing feels like a cut-rate “B” movie. You sure don’t get the feeling that there are “thousands” in Chester’s Mill as is stated several times in episodes in this season. The season suffers from continuity errors — a cut shirt in one scene is fully repaired in another occurring within minutes of each other. For having a 6 inch metal rod shoved through her thigh and almost bleeding to death, Julia has made an amazing recovery, running through the forest without a hitch. I would vote that the dome just contract to a singularity and put us all out of our misery.
