Continuum Season 4
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
In season four of Continuum, Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols, Criminal Minds, Alias) and the mysterious time traveler, Brad Tonkin (Ryan Robbins, Falling Skies, The Killing) must battle the Future Soldiers who arrived in a flash of light in the last moments of season three.
This is last season with only half of the episodes and fans are fortunate they decided to produce Season 4 instead of leaving us hanging at the end of Season 3. Continuum is a very good Sci-Fi series about a Law Enforcement Detective, Kiera Cameron, in the year 2077 who gets sent back in time with “Liber8” a radical group of anti-corporate activists, often described as terrorists, anarchists, revolutionaries, during their trial. A lot of future-past time travel series are hard to follow, but this one ties everything together that makes it easy to follow. Kiera finds herself in present day Vancouver, BC and blends in with local Law Enforcement to pursue Liber8. Her high tech multi-function uniform puts her in communication with teen computer genius Alec Sadler, someone who she finds out shapes the world to come. All episodes are seasoned well with action and drama making for an unforgettable TV series. If you haven’t seen this, try it and start from the beginning as it will be well worth it.

Worth watching if you enjoy Doctor Who, Time Travel, and Technology. With only a few shows in Season 4, they had to kinda rush the wrap up ending for Continuum. Not an easy task for a show that is tracking multiverse multiple plot lines from multiple universes… an infinitely difficult idea handled better by other shows such as FRINGE. FRINGE was weirder, Continuum is more beautiful. FRINGE examined one man’s damage to the multiverse by puncturing a hole from one universe into another — with unexpected consequences. Continuum examines the damage caused by time travelers competing to change the time line – and damaging it and trying to fix it. Unfortunately both are optimistic, the reality of the current world is a decaying 1st world economy into 3rd world status as the 3rd world struggles with violence and murderous religions based on fear, not based upon love. Continuum has a Great story line – a VISUALLY stunning show – moments of photography that are amazing. Beautiful !
(two favorite images included here). The show starts off with some great tech that you would love to have, until you realize such amazing tech is used to enslave the whole society… food for thought for all the technologists wanting ‘google glass’ and other such nonsense – BE HUMAN – stay human, love your human body and human life ! Tech is a tool, not a religion. Enjoy the show !

Can’t say enough good about this one. I have watched the entire series twice about a year apart and expect that I may watch it again from time to time. This is a great drama with great well acted characters that deals with some timely subject relating to technology and how it is being applied to our life and culture and what type of society and future we really want to have. Will smart phones, fit bits and interconnectedness coupled with big data ultimately create a society that controls us or will we control it to build a great future. The best part of all is that this is a complete story arch from beginning to end. you will not get left hanging with an unfinished or rushed ending because the show got canceled before it got finished with the story.
