Graceland: Season 2
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Season One starts off with a bang and every episode pulls you in with it’s wonderful cast and cleaver, plot twisting story line…very promising. But Season Two was a disappointment. The writers and production team chose to take one of the main characters in the wrong direction. Mike is too boyish to play team-leader back from Washington. He comes off as surly and mean. Daniel Sunjata does much better at leading the Graceland household of strange and wonderful young detectives…letting Mike stay as more of a sidekick to play of of Daniel’s strenghts. However, the story line is a good one and it was worth a watch.

This is a compelling drama, with intricate plots and complex characters. The story development is done in parallel subplots that are interdependent to the primary plot — the take-down of a notorious drug lord living south of the border. Even the criminal characters have multiple dimensions, with a stern father, a troubled and over-dramatic son, and a sister who is trapped in a lifestyle that is fundamentally offensive to who inner character. The writers of this series occasionally go overboard in their efforts to illustrate graphically cruel acts of murder and torture, but there are no boring main characters in the Graceland estate or in the drug-running Sonata family. Finally, these characters are easy on the eyes, so if nothing else gets you, you may find yourself simply enjoying the sights. No shame, you are not the only one in that category.
