The Colony Season 1

I enjoyed the first episode! It was nice to see Josh Holloway again and I hope the show does well for his sake.

The main reason I’m leaving the review is to counter the false one star ratings. PLEASE don’t rate amazon’s service or methods. The only thing that suffers when you give it a 1 because you’re displeased with Amazon is the show itself. Nobody from Amazon will even see your complaint. So please, once the show starts, if you like it, consider changing your rating. Amazon’s policies and imperfections have nothing to do with the show, which is what looks bad because of the low ratings. The show is pretty good and will no doubt get better as we get deeper into the story. Unfortunately, people may be less likely to give it a fair chance because of the low rating.

I love this show so much! It is very fun to see favorite stars from previous shows come together in this new situation. Myself, I find the premise pretty haunting and credible…. Maybe the reason our leaders do so much bad stuff for our country and our world is that they are under some pressure to do so from an overwhelming external force… Some of the plot turns are…well, amazing coincidences…. Sometimes the bad guys are kind of unbelievably dumb…. But it is TV after all… I love it!

I will pretty much watch anything with Josh Holloway in it. He’s a great actor and yes, okay, nice on the eyes. Colony is an interesting look into the near-future where an alien race has basically taken over (or at least, that’s as much as the first season gives away.) Lots of twists and turns. The best part is the way they’ve pitted husband and wife against each other, even though they are both working toward the same goal. This series kept both me and my husband captivated (which is nice, to find a show we both like) and we are looking forward to the second season. Two thumbs way up!
