The Blacklist Season 4

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

Season 4 was every bit at good as the previous seasons. Just when you think that things are beginning to settle down we find that Kate (Mr. Kaplan) is bent on ruining Raymond. She has gone around the country digging up 86 bodies and turned them over to local authorities who have gotten the FBI involved, not the Task Force, but the FBI that was looking for Raymond Reddington before he turned himself in. Kate has used her knowledge of Red’s empire to dismantle it monetarily and with that Red’s assets. She has no idea what she has done but believes Red was responsible for Elizabeth’s predicament. She believed that she was acting in Liz’s best interests when she planned for Liz to fake her death and unite her with Tom and Agnes in Cuba. But what she miscalculated is that it was too late for Liz the day she was given to Sam to raise. It took a strong Raymond Reddington to keep everyone at bay, and when the series began it was a confluence of events (the Cabal closing in, Liz’s career path in the FBI, and her dying father) to force Raymond to act in the only way he knew by enlisting the FBI to help even though they had no idea (at least initially) as to what they were doing.

Season 4 was certainly very powerful. To me Kate crossed many lines (not that she hadn’t before) but when she decided to act on her own, and Raymond did not follow through the way he normally does when he shoots someone, that is to make sure the person is dead. Were it not for either of these actions Season 3 and 4 would have been different but the writers did not see it that way.

I can’t wait to watch Season 5 & hopefully I can do it ahead of the start of Season 6. While I may watch the series as it airs, there is something to be said about buying the complete season and watching it straight w/o commercials.

The one I received did not include the Digital Copy code inside even though the sticker on the front clearly stated the it included a digital copy. After calling Amazon I was able to get the digital copy in my Amazon Video Library. It not include in my Ultra Violet Library so it is a little more trouble as you I can’t watch the Blacklist Season 4 in the same place as the other 3 seasons.

I bought two copies of the season 4 in error. What more can I say? Oh Raymond Reddington you make us do weird things. What a character is Raymond Reddington. What an excellent actor is James Spader. We hang on his every word. He delivers a line with such grandeur that after he stops I replay to hear him again. I do not only want to see every single season, I want to buy every disc so I can see them when I want and every time I want. It is that simple.
