11.The Tale of the Vacant Lot:A boy buys a magical door that, when opened, reveals a girl trapped in a burning house—then sees the same girl in his neighborhood, and tries to figure out how to save her.
12.The Tale of a Door Unlocked:A boy and girl at a hospital suspect a mysterious coffin is responsible for destroying medical equipment, and making patients and staff act strangely and disappear.
13.The Tale of the Night Shift:A girl fights to close a door leading to a world of ghouls and goblins.
Pull up your big orange couch! If you were a kid in the 90’s, then this show was pretty much a staple of your Saturday night routine. There was a time when Nickelodeon actually had programming worth watching, and “Are You Afraid of the Dark” was one of those shows. This was, by far, my favorite show in Nickelodeon’s SNICK line up. Although I consider the first 2 seasons my favorite, there are some great episodes in Season 5. I can’t wait to show these to my kids some day. I hope they will enjoy these as much as I did growing up.-Nate
I won’t lie: I purchased this out of pure nostalgia. I vividly remember being terrified for days after watching some of these episodes when they originally aired. Surprisingly, some of these episodes hold up pretty well, whereas others look like they were recently excavated from the world’s worst 90s time capsule. The show is still a lot of fun and I recommend it for anyone looking for a creepy stroll down memory lane.-Ryan
I loved this show as a kid! Even watching it now as an adult I still get the same entertainment value and the added bonus of great old memories.The episodes throughout the seasons are out of order for some reason but it doesnt really matter too much as far as the stories go, it just affects the ages and members etc of the midnight society kids.(the ones telling the stories).Overall great tales even today!-Shane
