Glee Season 4
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Really dull in comparison to season 3. “New” cast is a mirror of the original cast, (Marley is quite literally called “New Rachel”, Kitty is the new Quinn as the head cheerleader, Jake Puckerman is literally Puck’s brother.) Everyone is written out of character. Blaine spends an entire story arch crying. Finn’s storyline makes absolutely no sense, nor does it really have any meaning. In seasons 1-3, competitions made me hold my breath. Now, they lost at sections and I barely even blinked. It seems that they took a good thing and tried way too hard to continue it, when they honestly should have either stopped at season three, or followed the old New Directions kids in their lives now, (which I’m not entirely sure would have been entertaining.) Honestly, Kurt and Rachel’s New York story line is the saving grace of this show, and even that seems out of place. Disappointed.- Happy2Read
When season 3 was ending, I was still unsure if there was going to be a season 4, and EVEN IF THERE WAS A SEASON 4, how the chemistry in the choir room would be absolutely different. It tore me apart to see them going their separate ways, the episode where Mr. Schue wants to do his wedding in May because he was too afraid to admit that he’ll miss them out loud because it was coming to an end, really hit home. I thought to myself that even if there is a season 4, it’d be totally different, and I was saddened by it. HOWEVER, I love GLEE, and I believe LIFE IS A MUSICAL. There is always a song to describe how you’re feeling at that exact moment, so I knew no matter what I’d be watching. As for SEASON 4, I am NOT DISAPPOINTED at all. I actually like the new characters, Marley, Ryder, Dean, & Jake. I was also excited to see Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson. I do not like the character KITTY at all. I thought in “GLEASE” she should have been exposed for making Marley’s outfits smaller, and persuading her to be bulimic . I don’t think as her character grows in this season, that I could ever be fond of her. She is seriously mean. Even when Santana was mean, she still had a heart. Marley is absolutely adorable, kind of reminds me Ariel, I think her and Ryder would make such a cute couple. Kudos to her mom too. I believe they are the best addition in GLEE so far.
The Finn/Rachel/Dean thing, that ONE hurt to see at first but I honestly think TIME will bring FINCHEL back together. Glee without FINCHEL just makes no sense. As for Klaine, I cannot see these two being with ANYONE ELSE other then each other.

The Glee story is clearly staring to wind down as the characters graduate from high school and go in their own directions. This season, although good, is losing some of the pizazz that made Glee so popular. While the cast together made one heck of an unbeatable casting and story line, as they go their own directions, that is starting to be lost in a big way. They should have just recast and added casts for every season so that as the ones who graduate are phased out, we would still have the others that we knew and loved and the saga could continue as long as the same great casting happened. Sadly, I don’t see it going in that direction. With that being said, any Glee fan needs to make this part of their collection and let’s see it to the end.
