NCIS: New Orleans Season 1
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
“NCIS New Orleans” episode three opens with three young ladies in a sports car having to dodge a weaving bus that ends up crashing on the side of the road. Three obvious and dangerous prisoners climb out of the wreckage. This being a family show, the escapees take the sports car and leave the three females unmolested…
The NCIS New Orleans team is called in to work with a Navy Brig team, headed by an attractive female Lieutenant, to track down the escapees. Special Agents Pride, Brody, and LaSalle will send BOLOs in all directions and spend some time looking through surveillance footage before astutely guessing the destination of one escapee. NCIS Director Vance and Special Agent Gibbs have nice cameos as some national security issues liven up the chase and make Special Agent Pride’s job a little more complicated. The chase will come to a suspenseful climax in an abandoned warehouse, where the three NCIS agents will face an armed and desperate escapee.
Three episodes in, the NCIS NOLA team is starting to come together. The dialogue sounds more natural as team members get into their intended places in the show. The show gets the full benefit of its location shooting in New Orleans and Louisiana. It’s off to a good start; here’s hoping they can keep it up. Recommended

When I started watching the show I was not sure how I would like it. The show seemed very dry, put potential. The show has had a slow start with some unbelievable scenarios but this is for entertainment (right ?). I love the New Orleans location! As I have continued to watch the episodes, I do like the chemistry between the characters PRIDE, La SALLE, LORETTA, SEBASTIAN, but the BRODY character is not there. The actress who plays the part just doesn’t fit. This by far is my favorite episode, ONE: I love the character that Diane Neal portrays (now she has chemistry); TWO: I love that finally they are bringing in more characters to interact that makes this show much more believable. I really enjoy the side characters: PP, LAUREL, HAMILTON, LT. ADDIE WATKINS, ORION, Dr. SAMUEL WILKINS these characters were cast perfectly. I hope that this show continues to interact all of these characters much more….there seems to be quite a bit of fun that the writers have when creating the dialogue. The ONE-LINERS are fantastic and quick….which makes this much more enjoyable to watch. I hope the show continues with much success. I love the NCIS franchise…..

In spite of what one reviewer said–Scott Bakula was born in Missouri, so that makes him an authentic Southerner, thus his accent is correct– give me a break! First of all, Missouri is NOT in the south, in spite of being primarily a supporter of the Confederacy during the Civil War. And, aside from that, I’ve lived in Missouri most of my 65 years and I assure you that we don’t sound like that. I know Scott Bakula is trying to do a real southern accent, but it’s pretty much painful to hear. I wish he would just let it go and use his regular voice. Just because the show is in New Orleans doesn’t mean he has to sound southern, especially when it sounds so affected.
STILL, NCIS: New Orleans gets full stars because I love the original show, have always been a fan of Scott Bakula, and I continue to hope that, with Mark Harmon as an Executive Producer, the show will iron out its little quirks over time and prove to be a quality sibling to the other two shows.
