Broadchurch Season 3

The series explores the consequences of a serious sexual assault as a Dorset community comes under the scrutiny of Hardy and Miller’s investigation. Based on a year of research with Dorset-based organisations who specialise in dealing with victims of sexual assault, and police advisors who specialise in investigating crimes of sexual violence.

There are unfortunately many misinformed reviewers on here saying that they paid for the whole season and only received one episode. Broadchurch, season 3 is currently airing in the US, and the episodes are released on Amazon Video the day after the episode first airs on BBC America. So if you purchased this season, you will have a new episode waiting for you on here every Thursday morning. I cannot sing the praises of this show enough. The acting and writing is unexcelled, and the subject matter, while very tough to watch, is extremely relevant and important. Highly recommend!- Kara

This character-driven crime drama has “binge viewing” built right into the complicated investigation with a village of suspects. Be warned, there is also backstory continuing forward from the earlier seasons. Season 3 is viewable as a stand-alone, but you really should watch Seasons one and two prior to this climactic season of what the producer calls a trilogy. Season 3 begins three years after the second and most, not all, of the village have moved on after the child murder and trial (primary plots for previous seasons). After a 50th birthday party, a female guest is attacked bodily, leaving her physically hurt and mentally devastated. She is not the typical predator’s choice. Once again the entire town is unsettled, and a suspect living behind every door. The gorgeous scenic seaside villa gets encrusted into a yet darker crime than child murder.- Harold Wolf

I love this show. So great and the acting is superb. David Tennant is why I started but the quality of the show is why I stay. Very well done. That first season blew me away. The second was great as well but I felt fell off a bit. This season was amazing. I am impressed with their choices for actors. So different from what I am used to in the states. Here, if you don’t live up to a certain beauty standard, you will not make the cut. This show has average looking people (ranging from beautiful to not so) in all roles and it makes the show so believable and I appreciate that a great deal. Well done.- M. Thompson
