Fringe season 1-5
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Fringe is a great series and I really enjoyed it, but what I did not enjoy was the troublesome way the discs played…and I tried several different Blu-Ray disc players. Normally when you play a disc from a series that has several episodes on it, you are given the choice of playing the individual episodes or all of them concurrently. If you choose to play the episodes individually, and then you have to stop watching for one reason or another, you can easily return to the same point where you stopped watching. Not with these discs. After choosing to play the episodes, they begin playing concurrently and the only way to choose an episode is to start the disc all over again and go through the Warnings and advertisements at the beginning, and then hunt for the place you stopped watching. With as many 20 discs and as many as 6 episodes on a disc, a pad and paper is necessary to document and then find where you were every time you have to stop watching. This was a real nuisance and very unprofessionally done. In my book the series gets an A+ and the recordings get an F-.- kyhunter01
It doesn’t have a main menu for the episodes. It just starts playing. Kind of annoying that you can’t choose which episode to watch with ease. However there is a menu for the special features.-Aretta
I watched a couple seasons of “Fringe” when it was on TV and thought it was pretty good. I signed up for Hulu a few months ago, and I tried to find the show, but they don’t have it. Amazon Prime has it, but it’s $1 an episode, and buying the whole series on DVD was cheaper. I’ve been binge-watching it every weekend, and this show is much better than I remembered! I love the paranormal stuff of course, but everything else about this show is fantastic, too. Superb writing and acting, intricate plot lines, suspense, lots of really funny parts, lots of really sad/touching parts, and lots of intense moral dilemmas. Most episodes have a delicious cliffhanger at the end that pretty much forces me to watch the next one. Their music choices are excellent and really fit the mood of each scene. There was one episode that had a nightclub scene, and I really liked the song that was playing for about a minute, so I bought the whole album from a group I’d never heard of (Ladytron/Velocifero) and I love it lol.- HappyChef
