I am enjoying re-watching the episodes of this series in anticipation of the upcoming new episodes. They are every bit as good as I remember. There are a few deleted scenes included. There are also a few episodes in special features with additional text giving info such as explaining a cultural reference or a bit about filming. I am disappointed that the disk containers have chips and cracks but the disks themselves seem fine. I am on the third season and have had no problems with them.
[update] I have just begun Season 6 and was very disappointed that it does not include English subtitles. I am hearing impaired and this greatly reduces my enjoyment of the season. Not sure why they would put together a package where some seasons have the subtitles and some do not. The opening credits of the first episode was of poor quality – grainy and very red. However, the rest of the episode seemed to be fine.- Sandiewho
What an amazing price to pay to own the entire Gilmore Girls’ series! Now that I own it, I never have to be without if Netflix ever removes the series (We all know Netflix removes our favorites at the wrong times!). I am also now portable to watch/listen to the series when traveling. Each season comes in its own case with multiple DVD’s inside. Each season is also colored differently and clearly labeled. It is a dream come true to own this amazing series! The Gilmore Girls’ series is a classic that one can (and will) watch multiple times a year!- Jimbo
I love this series and hate most of what is on now during the day, so we got this, and now I can see the ones I missed…..and it comes with a booklet called Gilmore-isms, which is handy to have while you watch….I think I will be be doing this more often as daytime tv goes sliding down the drain!
I read the books bought for Kindle; and am now developing a video library…..next? maybe McMillian and Wife, or the Adams’ Family…..you have so many it is hard to decide!- Dilu
