MIDSOMER MURDERS: Series 3
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I love this show. As I said before, Set 5 is actually where the series begin. I bought Set 1 next, followed by this set #2.Again, there are four episodes in this set each on a separate disc. Again, the shows are witty as well as intelligent. The episodes include:Dead Man’s Eleven–A cricket bat is used as a murder weapon to kill the trophy wife of a Fletcher’s Cross tycoon. Death of a Stranger–When a tramp dies fleeing fox hunters in Upper Marshwood, the investigation uncovers a trail of murderous deceit.Blue Herrings–Barnaby’s Aunt is recovering from surgery at a nursing home where an where a series of deaths causes Aunt Alice to phone her nephew for help.Judgement Day–Tiny Midsomer Mallow strives for the Perfect Village title, provided it can keep a vicious murderer at bay.If you’re a fan of British television, especially the mysteries, I have no problem recommending this set to add to your collection.-University Doc
This Series 3 is not the original Set 3. Original “Garden of Death”, “Destroying Angel”, “The Electric Vendetta”, “Who Killed Cock Robin”, and “Dark Autum”. This Series 3 titles are “Death of a Stranger”, “Blue Herring”, “Judgement Day”, and “Beyond The Grave”. In my opinion to characterize this as a “Reissue” implying that it replicates the original Set 3 is misleading and borderline fradulent.-Cooking Tyro
Love this British crime drama with a hint of levity. Not dark at all, really, considering the subject matter. The country towns are lovely and the main characters are likable. The stories are varied and have just enough twists and turns to keep them interesting. There is a minimum of violence ( most of it off screen and previous ) and the shows are more about thinking than doing. Reasoning out motives and answers take precedence over violence and gore. Well acted and very enjoyable.-carol Barnes
