Night Gallery The Complete Series

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

I can almost remember most of these from TV way back before cable when we only had 3 channels & maybe some UHF channels as well. Picture & sound are good. There are some reddish tones on the white parts that appear in places for some odd reason but it’s more of a curiosity than an annoyance.

Some or all of the season 1 bonus features are also in season 2, so there is some doubling up..

The packaging is kinda junky. The track list is barely readable thru the translucent plastic cover only after the 1st or last DVDs are removed. Also the hinged disc holders are real flimsy & I’m pretty sure they will break easily with anything but very gentle handling.

– Keith Bickel

This is a timeless tv show from the 70’s and it is a good addition for your home video library next to a Twilight Zone dvd boxed set. Picture is good for it’s age and it is a popcorn marathon lazy afternoon flick, good for those 3 day weekends or late night viewing. Lots of good episodes to be hold here and it’s a worthy purchase for anyone who likes Rod Serling. And who says dvds are obsolete?

– Zebra3

Granted, the tone of this series is very uneven. The brief, jokey interstitials were reportedly HATED by Rod Serling (and for the most part, with good reason). But some of the full length stories are up there with the best of the Twilight Zone. And the casts must be seen to be believed. Where else are you going to see Bill Bixby work with Vincent Price? Lots, but not all, of these episodes are available on hulu – so if you’re a completist like me, this set is the best thing going right now.

Sure, it would be nice to have it in blu ray, but the quality is good enough (as the quality of the original show was far from pristine). Looks good for a show from that era.
