Outsiders Season 1
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I love this show. The characters are from a different era fighting for their way of life against modern forces. It’s a little like braveheart meets evil coal company. The character development is outstanding, as are the costumes! And there’s some treachery & intrigue to boot. Some parts are a little gratuitous for my taste (definitely for adult eyes only), but overall worth the $ I paid for the season, as we don’t get the cable channel this tv show airs on. My favorite character might be Little Foster, who is one of the original cast of Sons of Anarchy. (Another show I loved!!)

I purchased this without having watched any of it prior to its arrival. I absolutely loved it! It is so much different than anything that’s out there right now. A lot of people have said “It’s just like Sons of Anarchy, but on ATVs instead of motorcycles”, but honestly, aside from the fact that Ryan Hurst plays a character in both shows and there are guns, sex, and police, I don’t see very many similarities. The stories of the two are entirely different, the overall feeling in the shows are different. If you liked SOA, you will most likely enjoy this as well, but that does not mean they are the same. Outsiders is unlike anything I have seen before. There is not necessarily a main character, unless you count the story as a character. It follows many different people and their individual struggles, and they all intertwine to create one fantastic TV show.
The first few episodes had me wondering if I would like it as much as I had hoped, but episode 4 really sunk it’s hooks in, and by the finale, I was in love. The last episode is so satisfying, but it leaves you wanting more, and it gives you more questions to ponder as you enter into the second season.

I started watching this series because of Sasil. I hope in Season Two we see even more of the couple than in Season One. The acting is good, but I find some of the plots boring and too much going on at times. I also find the cast a bit confusing. I get some of the men mixed up. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Hasil and Sally-Ann I wouldn’t be watching it. Another complaint is we don’t know much about Sally-Ann. I would have loved to learn more about her brother and her childhood. Maybe they will show us more of her backstory in the next season.
