I am HOOKED ! I have never seen such good writing and acting in a show since “Homeland”. I find myself rooting for Ray and hoping everything works out. Ray Donovan puts James Bond to shame. I watched season 1 then started season 2 only to find it just keeps getting better and better.Liev Schreiber is just outstanding as well as Paula Malcomson. Jon Voight…well this is his all time BEST performance. Jon Voight’s character (Mickey Donovan) is the keystone of all the family secrets as well as their root problem.”Mickey” is an Old Boston Irish Gangster, the kind of man the viewer can see through the first minute you watch him but seems to be able to win most people over. The cast is filled with some of the best actors to hit the screen and the story line is exciting…gripping in fact as well as believable. What sets this show apart from all the others is the depth it takes you to with each episode. I am happy to break away from mindless, instant gratification Television. This show treats the viewer as if they have a mind and know a little about the world we live in. Good things happen to bad people and good people suffer as a result. Do yourself a favor and watch and then never go back to watching shows that “Talk Down” to you.
