Revenge Season 3

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

Season three continues with Emily Thorne facing the consequences of her actions and the havoc she has wreaked on those around her as she continues her fight to avenge her father’s death.

Okay, so. It was a cold dark Montana Winter. I was snowed in for months, and there was an avalanche in my neighborhood, which killed one of my neighbors. However, I decided to take Netflix’s suggestion for me, and try a couple episodes of Revenge. Well, at the end of episode one…I was on team Emily Thorne (Emily van Kamp) all the way into the next year, until the end of the series, which had about 5 seasons if I remember correctly. The end of the series was one of the most satisfying conclusions I have ever seen produced on a TV series. I really felt closure, and satisfaction because ultimately Emily Thorne, our fearless heroine, achieves her objective to the fullest. (Revenge on Madeline Stowe’s Victoria Greyson). This show has a host of beautiful, romantic and sinfully wealthy characters. It is set in the Hamptons and New York City and revolves around the old guard of Hamptons society, with strange little vignettes that reveal the true background of some of the most vainglorious leaders of said society, which Emily seeks to destroy from the inside out, with assistance from her best friend Nolan. Sheer pleasure of the highest order is this show. Nothing but beyond belief drama.

Hooked from Pilot through most recent episode, it would be hard for me to dismiss this program and any season. Just as I’ve thought they’ve worn out the storyline, they come in with new angles, sometimes characters, to make the primary targeted goals of Emily Thorne seem plausibly ready to pay. The cast is both beautiful and yet each, perfect for their parts. Surprises come and go. Occasionally one may feel the predictability of a circumstance’s outcome, but I suggest they are never quite 100% accurate at how it plays out.

Sometimes the ruthlessness of the revenge startles me, often times the revenge is sweet because Thorne simply creates the mode by which the target has no choice but to be exposed, while still not yet having exposed her. The monkey wrench to the plan appears in season 4, but it’s worth magnet ting Didn’t like the 1st episode of this season. Am hoping they will find their way out of this mess. Daniel’s character has deteriorated and when I found his character in season 1, I had high hopes for him to turn everything around. He has lost his charm and character. I didn’t like the Aiden character from the start and now it seems hopeless for Ems to ever be “alright”. Although I learned to dislike Conrad’s character, I don’t think killing him off will help the show. Victoria seems to be the one character that has remained stable and I don’t like Em’s takeover of the Grayson Manor. And they said they wouldn’t bring David Clark back…….but here he is! And poor Nolan has been screwed over so many times. At one time, I thought he and Em’s might be brother and sister. And they totally blew his character out of the water when they took his company away from him. I guess I sort of feel like it’s Humpty Dumpty……all the king’s horses etc. etc. They will never get it back together again!
..
there… Oh yes, each week I ask can Emily Thorne meet her goals?

That there is death, violence, betrayal is why I have titled this review so. None of what Thorne is doing is plausible in life.
