Love this show! When I heard that Jennifer Lopez was doing a dramatic TV show, I couldn’t wait to see it. And she does not disappoint.

Jennifer Lopez plays Harlee a single mother who is a police detective in New York. She is one of six detectives in a squad led by “Woz” played by the very talented Ray Liotta. Woz, Harlee, and the other detectives play a little dirty to keep their streets and their families safe. Enter in a FBI agent who very quickly is obsessed by Harlee.

There are many twists and turns in this series and just when you think you have each person pegged into how far they will go, something else happens that makes your jaw drop. A perfect example is the last few minutes of the last episode in season one. It will blow your mind.

Much like the Sopranos, just when you think a character is OK, they go monster on you. Ray Liotta: the second I first saw him on the screen in the film “Something Wild”, around 1990, I said, “oh, oh, this guy is twisted”, and he still is-seriously on the edge. J-Lo a good, solid actress. Drea, a Sopranos, alumnus nails it. The young black guy who is J-Lo’s conflicted partner is awesome-sorry did not remember his character’s name. A Medusa’s head of interlocking story lines with lots of surprises and solid believable characters…
