Suits: Season 2 (2012)
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
This is a great show with a unique twist. A young man with a photographic memory talks a high powered corporate lawyer, Harvey Spectre, into hiring him as his associate. The twist? The young man never attended any law school, much less Harvard where the firm always gets their associates. Though he did ace the LSAT for a friend once! So he is constantly in fear of being found out by other associates who DID graduate from Harvard. With the help of Harvey’s secretary he is provided with a diploma and hacked-in school records, so he is on his way. There is also a vicious war going on between the partners to see who will ultimately take control of the firm. Lots of high powered drama. I only gave it 4 stars, however, because it does have more foul language than I deem appropriate. You would think uber smart lawyers would have a vocabulary that would enable them to take people down without resorting to profanity.

Suits actors give stellar and consistent performances. We r late to the”party” but thrilled to have arrived. The new season starts in a few days. We will record it but won’t watch it until we catch up. The legal cases are certainly interesting but the relationships of the characters are most interesting. Each episode adds new twists. The story lines have drama, comedy, sex, love, mystery, and suspense. The videography of New York is beautiful. I worked in mid town NY for almost 40 years, mostly in Rock Center, and NY never looked better. Odd though, so far there’s not been a winter in the story. Maybe in future episodes. I hope the writers can maintain the story quality. Pearson Hardman could probably get sued for a bias towards beautiful employees. Although my wife and I are fairly active retires, we try to watch at least one episode each night. There are some nights we can indulge ourselves in more then one. Congratulations on creating some fine tv viewing.

I have arrived late to the watching of this television series, but I have now become immersed in the stylized world of big city lawyering. I think the second season was even better than the first as the writers expanded the storylines of some of the central characters and continued to come up with fresh plots that engaged the lawyers’ work. Each season ends with a cliff-hanger, however, I feel as if the fast pacing of this season kept viewers interest at a very high level though every episode. Both of the main characters – the veteran “closer” and the young rookie are played flawlessly by the actors. Most of the supporting cast is top-notch while the writing remains tight with each episode flying by. It is interesting to see not only the personal side of the office relationships, but, also, the maneuverings to deal with legal issues which sometimes skirt the law. There is a big secret that some of the staff has had to maintain for the good of the firm – still, the numbers who are learning of this is growing. So, you just know that when it becomes common knowledge, the firm and those who are running it, will all be in serious jeopardy. Sometimes, I watch several episodes consecutively because I can’t wait to see how a case will be resolved.
