The Big Bang Theory: Season 11 [Blu-ray]

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

I have been watching this show since it first came out & for the most part really liked almost every episode of the first ten seasons! I have enjoyed the idiosyncrasies of each of the characters & laughed & cried with them through the years! I enjoyed their interactions with each other & watched the growth of each of their characters. But this year, was the worst, the cheapest, the most sorry group of actors ever brought together on the stage. So they didn’t have money for costumes – no problem-Bernadette wore the same thing in literally every show! And Penny’s Drug Rep Job – she was evidently fired & got paid for sitting on the couch in her apartment with Leonard, who luckily didn’t have to go to work at the university anymore either! The characters didn’t seem to like each other & most of their dialogue was immature, uninspired & just plain nasty when talking to each other! The one small bright spot was watching Amy & Sheldon develop their characters both individually & as a couple! It was a unique & long awaited opportunity! Other than the two of them, I don’t ever want to watch the rest of the cast fumble through any more of the the most poorly written TV Sitcoms in a decade! The Character development of ten years was fatally crushed in these few episodes!-Harmony

This is the second to last season of the show. It was announced over the summer that season 12 will be the final one. Which I ultimately think was a good decision. The main theme of this season is the build-up to Sheldon and Amy’s wedding. As most know the 10th season ended on the cliffhanger of Sheldon proposing, and to the shock of no one, she says yes. The rest of the season is much the same as it has been, a story-of-the-week meshed with ongoing story arcs. The other main storyline is Howard and Bernadette having another child to write in Melissa Rauch’s real-life pregnancy into the show, and allow her to be on bed rest. For much of the season, she was filmed in bed, and then eventually you just heard her voice, much like Howard’s mother was. Of the main cast, I would say Raj took more of a back seat this year, only really having one episode centered around him (which guest-starred Beth Behrs and Walton Goggins. The other some of the other guest stars this year (aside from Wil Wheaton) were Bob Newhart, Kathy Bates, Teller (of Penn and Teller fame), Laurie Metcalf, Jerry O’Connell, and Mark Hamill. They also found a way to honor Stephen Hawking after his death.- Mike S

This show is so well written and so perfectly cast that I can’t give any constructive criticism. I have an M.Ed. in autism, and love any show that teaches the world about individuals who have struggles typical of this disorder. Sheldon melts my heart with his attempts at reading social cues and understanding subtle body language. This is, as Amy Schumer would say–“Shredded carrots in brownies.” Such a treat and so fun to watch that you hardly notice you’re being nourished and educated while being fully entertained.- Bert
