The Goldbergs: Season 2
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
This is a very funny, enjoyable show. It’s often brilliant and I love the acting. The one thing that sometimes gets on my nerves is that a few of the plot lines feel pulled directly from prior shows, especially shows like “Freaks and Geeks” or to a lesser extent, “The Wonder Years.” Episodes centered around Dodge Ball, Dungeons and Dragons, being picked last for gym class, first kiss, girlfriend moving away, have all been done before, and if you’ve seen the other shows it can feel a bit like copying. But know that universal experiences shouldn’t be confined to one or two shows, I just think Goldbergs is at its best when they are more original.- M.C
I love the characters and stories in this show! Loved season 1 and am enamored of season 2 also. This is such a fun family show; it makes me cry and laugh in turns. I always loved the Wonder Years and I love The Middle, and I’m so happy to have The Goldbergs to add to that amazing list of great family shows! I do get a little tired of how often the mom apparently has a foul mouth; it’s mostly pixelated and bleeped out, but you can still basically tell what she’s saying. I can’t imagine living in a home with a mom who has that kind of mouth; and it’s pretty regular that she uses it. I thought it was rare in the first season, but it really seems to be in every episode and is so annoying!! Other than that I really enjoy this show; please give it a try.-Skyeflower
Great Show —- Love the 1980’s…. This reminds of things I did in the 80’s. I am not liking new shows since it not clean family fun since classics from the 50’s until the early eighties. We don’t have great family fun shows on any more… Until The Goldberg’s, I love to add it to my classic column. It is funny and I watch it every week…. Love the DVDs and I hope season 3 will come soon.- Mr. Ronald J. Heater
