I love the reality of this show; it makes me laugh and cry. It makes me very happy something like this is on TV that talks about love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, encouragement, and the need for apologies given when we’re wrong. I wish all families had these aspects. No one is perfect here, but they keep trying and they learn from each other and grow closer together; they seem to be willing to try. My family wasn’t like that and it breaks my heart really how many aren’t. Some homes aren’t places of refuge and love. Watching this show gives me hope for others learning how important these lessons are and taking them in to their hearts and homes.-Skyeflower

I watch this show with my high school children and we thoroughly enjoy it. Gives me the opportunity to reminisce about the 80’s and share with my children a glimpse of what the 80’s were like. The writing is witty and charming and the family is dysfunctional and loveable. Love the creativity each week to tie in home movies from the 80’s to inspire the episodes. We especially love the surprises when the a featured character appears in the episode as a grown-up in the episode!-E. Miranda

Still hits the mark every single time!! It’s funny to see this as a teen of the 80’s and now the parent’s. I am Beverly Goldberg…I know because it is pointed out to me whenever we watch the show…which is often repeated because it just doesn’t get old.- Just my opinion
