Excellent. I am a huge good wife fan and love the characters. And the addition of Delroy Lindo to this series, alongside Christine Baranski, is a stellar move. But, no matter how much I love a show and its cast, I will never sign up for CBS’s service, even if just to binge-watch all 10 episodes during a free trial. I paid for each episode on Amazon, but would have preferred to do that in real time, not months later. Whomever is making decisions at CBS (to put this on CBS’s app only) is clearly not an end-user. How about requiring your decisionmakers to be actual consumers of streaming television.-Michal
I really thought this show was going to be great. Loved The Good Wife and thought this new show would just be a winning continuation. I was wrong.. The actors are great, especially Christine Barranski, but the absolute trashing of President Trump is way to repetitive. In the good wife you knew the Diane character was a democrat but was played low key as it should. This isn’t a political show it’s about lawyer’s. People need to let this subject go, and learn to entertain us again. If I could submit my review w/o a star I sure would.- T. Stenson
Better than the Good Wife. What a delightful story that focuses on deep characterizations, especially, what we all go through to try and make a living and do our best, while helping others in the process. Without the campaign, which always dragged the Good Wife down, we’re left with what made the show amazing–good law cases, good characters matching wits, amazing women and men working together to make the world a better place. Using real-world examples, which actually aren’t needed, but typical of the series, we get to see that a hard day’s work and sacrifice means something–even when we’re knocked down. Three different stories, layered, with emotion, challenges, family, friendship, love–and more.- Dog Soldier
