The office Season 9
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
The entire series began well, became amazing, and then somewhere began to stumble, only to catch itself to keep from hitting the ground, ending upright, tall, and with much to be proud of. Few shows will ever hook us the way the Office characters did thanks to the outstanding performances of the best and most devoted ensemble of actors a television show could ever hope for.
The final show speaks for the entire series, and it leaves us with warmth, dignity, and a great deal of heart. Much thanks is due the cast and crew at `The Office’ for redeeming the show’s original integrity and soul, and for presenting its viewers with a remarkable and unforgettable journey.
Throughout the final season we are saying `goodby’ to a show that demonstrated time and again, that the ordinary people make the world go around, and we owe it to ourselves to embrace that marvelous ride and appreciate those whom were destined to share that ride with us.
This season is certainly one that should not be overlooked at any cost. If ever one enjoyed one minute of the series, then this is the season to be sure to see.
As a true testament of the fondness we feel for the entire cast as they moved us to care for them and their stories, they will be dearly missed. Yet they left us on a high note of uplifting proportions and for that, `the Office’ will continue to sparkle brightly in our recollections as a true original show, with the echoes of a cherished friend

The show is smart and awkwardly, yet deliciously, inappropriate. Miss, miss, miss Steve Carell but after a weak season 8, the Office has rebounded with season 9 and will end its run with high marks. Season 8 had its moments but the show seemed rudderless without Michael – Robert California and Nellie were just weird and Andy is no Michael. When it seemed all hope was lost, the show shifts to a more ensemble – no superstar- approach in season 9 which, with Michael gone, really works. With such wonderful characters in Dwight, Jim, Meridith, Stanley, Angela, Kevin, Oscar, Darrell and Phyllis it’s nice to have all the story lines going at once – Nellie fits in much better this year too. Andy and Erin are fine in the mix but are much better in doses than in being the main focus. A little of Andy goes a long way. That shift was a game changer in a good way.

“The Office” was one of the best comedies on network television so far in the new century. Its ninth and final season was a worthy swan song, with a good storyline involving the two most central characters, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer). This DVD set contains all 23 episodes of Season Nine that originally aired on NBC from September 2012 to May 2013.
In this season, Jim works on a side business in Philadelphia, leading to strain in his marriage with Pam. Viewers see how this conflict is resolved, where the two end up, and see all other plots for the other characters resolved by the season (and series) finale. Season Nine sees cameo return appearances of old stars of the show, as well as guest star appearances by Bob Odenkirk, Julius Erving, and Ryan Howard.
While some thought that the show had declined after its first few seasons, Season Nine was certainly good—it was fast moving, managed to juggle several subplots at once, and keep the large number of cast members for the season involved. The writers had not run out of material, even managing to make good episodes built around lice and paper airplanes. Bonus features on this set include deleted scenes and a retrospective on this great comedy.
