The Originals: Season 5
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Season 5 of this drama series opens seven years after the Mikaelson family had to flee the city of New Orleans in order to keep Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) safe. Now, Hope is desperate to be reunited with her father, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and resorts to drastic measures to see him once again. Freya (Riley Voelkel) feels guilty about not being able to bring her family back together, causing trouble in her relationship with Keelin (Christina Moses). Meanwhile, Josh (Steven Krueger) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) are ruling over New Orleans.
The CW show’s series finale picked up from the end of last week in which Klaus Mikaelson (played by Joseph Morgan) was planning to kill himself with the White Oak Stake to save his daughter Hope’s (Danielle Rose Russell) life.
However, Hope had other ideas and knocked him unconscious as she and her uncle Elijah (Daniel Gillies) took him back to New Orleans.
Back in his hometown, Klaus prepared to say goodbye to his loved ones and the city itself which has served as a character itself (even though The Originals is filmed in Georgia, Atlanta).
During a goodbye tour of New Orleans with Caroline (Candice King), Klaus revealed his plans to say goodbye but admitted he was unsure the best way to do so – being immortal probably makes finality a bit tricky.

On The Originals Season 5 Episode 13, “When the Saints Go Marching In,” the Mikaelsons gather together to say goodbye to Klaus on the series finale.
“When the Saints Go Marching In” is a fitting but flawed tribute to the first family of vampires, and it almost makes up for an overall disappointing season.
The most prolific relationship in Klaus’s life is not his daughter. The show has always been about the bond between the Mikaelson siblings (prior to using the final season to set up storylines for the upcoming Legacies), particularly Rebekah, Elijah, and Klaus.
On The Originals Season 1 Episode 1, “Always and Forever,” Elijah narrates:
Over the course of my long life, I have come to believe we are bound forever to those with whom we share blood, and while we may not choose our family, that bond can be our greatest strength or our deepest regret.
