The X-Files Season 11
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Almost 14 years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILESTM is a thrilling, six-episode event series from creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reinhabiting their roles as iconic FBI agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. Mitch Pileggi also returns as FBI Assistant Director WALTER SKINNER, Mulder and Scully s boss, who walks a fine line between loyalty to these investigators and accountability to his superiors. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy®- and Golden Globe® Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history.
I have watched Season 10 a lot of times, and to my amazement, I enjoy it more and more because I pick up what I missed from previous viewings. For those who didn’t give these episodes a good response, I suggest they put these episodes in context with the entire series. There are a few episodes from the original programming which I enjoyed less, but I found something in them that continued to spark my interest. The mythology episodes get better all the time, especially that dramatic crash in Season 10, episode 1. Who can find fault with that crash? People against revealing the existence of UFOs are most likely the audience that is not wanting this show to continue to ask the questions about UFOs and keep the people from using their curiosity about aliens. This show needs to continue to help people recognize that there is a foundation for exploration into the unknown which is vital for humans. X-files offers the spark for uniting audiences craving for an adventurous future and exploring the unknown, no matter where the truth leads.- julialynn
As an fan of the early days of the X-Files this reboot sounded intriguing. After reading the reviews I elected to watch just one episode, the third as it’s plot seemed to mirror those that made the series such fun. My problem with the X-Files was that it got bogged down in the big conspiracy theory, Cigarette Smoking Man plots and eventually I stopped watching. This episode was indeed a nice return to the original “monster of the week” type of story. Mulder and Scully are both older of course but they still have chemistry and are a delight to watch in action once more. Mulder’s actually considering that maybe many of their mysteries were easily explained normal things that only looked paranormal. Then of course we meet the lizard man! 4-Stars for this episode, can’t say for sure that the others are just as good.- Colonel D
