Lethal Weapon: Season 2

Last season, Lethal Weapon was one of the most consistent performers of the year, premiering with 7.93 million viewers overall, and never dropping below 6 million viewers by the season finale.
Of course, last year the show had the benefit of being paired with Empire, which manages to always give the 8pm Fox slot a boost despite being a lead-in to the hit series, not a lead-out.
This year, Lethal is moving to Tuesdays to anchor the Fox comedy night for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mick. Can the show hold its own in the new slot? We’ll find out soon.

Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 21, “One Day More,” is a pretty mediocre finale. For a show that used to be able to provide a good dose of excitement, this hour is sorely lacking in it.
The promo gave away Trish’s capture, and that doesn’t happen until about halfway through the hour. That should have been the part where things got exciting.
If it was earlier during the hour, then we could have really explored the emotional impact that her kidnapping had on everyone. However, that’s not the case. It’s over before it began.

Martin Riggs’ devotion to his dead wife, Miranda, has nearly killed him several times since Lethal Weapon‘s debut. But in the Season 2 premiere, his love for his police partner — and vice-versa — proves a lifesaver.
At the start of “El Gringo Loco,” Riggs is still MIA in Baja, Mexico, two weeks after the events of the finale. Murtaugh is there, too, searching for his co-worker on his own dime — much to the consternation of Trish back at home. But when shots are fired in a fancy hotel and a body is thrown out the window, Murtaugh has an inkling he’s close.
