The Platinum Collection: Greatest Hits I, II & III – Queen
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I always liked Queen back in the seventies. I wasn’t a huge fan but I always appreciated their music. That enjoyment lasted through the eighties and early nineties. I was excited to hear that a movie about Freddie and the band was coming out this past November and that Rami Malek would play Freddie. As the weeks that led up to the movie’s debut went by, I wanted to hear more and more music by Queen. I spoiled myself by listening to everything I could on Amazon Music. Their music was quickly becoming a part of me and I couldn’t let it go. Watching the news depressed me, but hearing their fabulous harmonies, music and lyrics uplifted me. The songs transported me to a much better place. I’m so happy that I bought The Platinum Collection. The songs are brilliant! I bought it as an early Christmas present to myself. There are days when I become sad that Freddie is no longer with us, but then I think how fortunate I was to be a teen when he first started creating music. I didn’t expect to rediscover Queen at my age, but I can’t think of anything I’ve enjoyed listening to more since I hit the Big 6-0!- Pat K
I’ve heard Queen songs my entire life but was never really a fan. Some songs I didn’t really know were Queen songs at all. A friend and I went to see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody and it made me want to hear more from them. After researching I found this collection, it was all three of their greatest hits albums in one place. I was a little bummed it would take over a month to receive it, but Amazon had the autorip included in the purchase so ultimately I bought it. I’m so happy I did, I got to download the entire collection immediately and was listening to it in minutes and not having to wait a month for it to arrive. It has a lot of great songs like Radio Ga Ga and Hammer to Fall as well as the ones that are the most popular in the US like Bohemian Rhapsody. I found that they had a lot of great stuff that just never gets played on the radio here. The collection spans over the entire career of Queen as a four man ensemble. It even includes some of the works that Freddie Mercury did outside of Queen and a couple of songs from the tribute show to Freddie. This album as a whole was a great starting point for any newcomer to Queen and for those who just want all their favorites all it one place. This record is a must have for any music lover from one of the greatest rock bands in history.-Rebecca K.
