Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
This is by far one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. The acting is amazing from Francis McDormand; Sam Rockwell made his finest to date. Woody Harrelson is great as the Sheriff as well.
My problem is the language. Yes, it’s a serious, sad storyline but why Hollywood thinks a constant flow of obscenities is needed for the storyline, I’ll never understand. It was a constant flow. At one point Woody Harrelson is talking to his young daughters with pretty much nothing but obscenities. They were delivered sweetly but I don’t think most parents would see the need in that instance. Other than the language, I still think it was a great movie but if had young children in the house I’d watch it after they go to bed.-Cynthia
This is a thought-provoking film that uses humour to one of its best advantages: pointing out and lampooning that which requires our attention. We are also treated to fabulous performances all around, in particular the always brilliant Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson at his best, and a surprising star turn from Sam Rockwell.I really don’t want to give out any spoilers so I’ll be brief. As you watch the film, consider the following: Which is the greater tragedy: the terrible thing that happened to Angela Hayes or the fact that we have a small town (a microcosm of society) wherein questioning the reputation of a popular man is considered the worse transgression?-Jane b.
Movie was decent, not fast paced enough. Easy to see why Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell won their Oscars. I loved Margot Robbie in I, Tonya but up against this performance and this storyline, I understand why she was passed over. Woody Harrelson deserves his Oscar already, he is such a good actor. The actors in this film make its somewhat slow pace okay because they are worth seeing in their roles-RYAN DALLE-TEZZE
