DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

I went into this thinking it would be a unique take on the history of Action Park, a Vernon, New Jersey amusement park dubbed “Traction Park” by locals for all the injuries people would sustain (especially the Alpine Ride). I actually went to that place, and it was everything you read about it. It was wonderful and terrible and dangerous and weird. There really was a loop-de-loop water slide that allegedly injured people and the alpine slide where people would fly off the track.With Johnny Knoxville attached to this, it would have to be a loose re-enactment of that crazy place and its history, right? Instead, this was just a formulaic slobs vs. snobs movie. To me, it’s a terrible “Meatballs” remake. About 15 minutes caught some of Action Park’s weirdness, if that.In the right hands, the movie could have been great. Unfortunately, this is awful. Recommendation: hard pass.-JKM

Loved it! Laughed the entire movie! Full of Jackass-style stunts and was very entertaining. For the people complaining about the basic level of the storyline- go rent The Notebook or some crap like that. No one watched this movie hoping for some over-the-top dramatic story. It was fun, light-hearted, and packed with jokes. The storyline had all the elements for a touching tale that kept the ball rolling till the end.- D.C. Free

A paper-thin “father-daughter/Coming of age” story wrapped around tons of excruciatingly painful stunts. Worth a rental for sure. I bought it and I’m glad I did. I had tears in my eyes from laughing but this type of comedy is an acquired taste. I enjoyed it very much.-Pappy O’Hoolihan
