This series was created out of love for the original movie. It’s 5 seasons equal 50 episodes and every episode continues from the previous one. If you binge watch it, it’s like watching a very long movie but it always keeps you interested. It does seem as though the writers knew what they were doing right from the first episode. It seems as though the entire series was mapped out from the beginning to be a 5 season show with 50 episodes. The plot just continues in perfect continuity and ends on a very tragic but excellent note. Freddy Highmore and Vera Farmiga were absolutely perfect for each other as Norman and his mother. This series is suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. I like a lot of TV shows out there but this one is very special to me because it was intelligent and beautifully written. Every character in the series was important and kept the show going smoothly as a story. I don’t remember ever having even one recurring character who was bad for the show. I couldn’t stop watching it when I came home from work every day. I just kept wanting to watch each episode until it just got too late for me to stay up anymore. Great show, great cast, great storyline and one of my favorites of all time.

I watched TV Bates Motel from the time of conception. Sort of wished my life away by hurrying the week away for the next episode. I watch the complete series in 4 days (of course not 24 hrs a day)…..so nice without commercials and sped through . I really hated to see the series come to an end, but it had to. The acting is SUBURB
