DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

When I first seen the trailer for the movie I was excited but on the fence too. Usually “monster” movies nowadays are straight to video or reserved for Syfy. So as the movie approached I began to worry. I tend to avoid trailers and tv spots, I recommend going in not watching anything longer than 15 seconds, so I went in quite blind. Without going to far in this movie is more than alligator mayhem. The central story is a father daughter relationship that’s been fractured. The cgi for the gators is quite good. Some parts could have used a tad more polish but to say that and to spend the extra 5 million is a different story. There’s gore. Not Saw level gore but gore that you expect with alligators. It’s self contained for the most part in a house and crawlspace, hence the name Crawl, so it keeps the tension pretty great. Last thing to keep it short….. it’s scary! It’s genuinely scary. You don’t get that much these days.- that guy

Having said that, it is a very claustrophobic movie. Alot takes place in a cellar that seems to go on forever. Once again we have our heroine Kaya going out of her way to get herself into trouble. As most do in these movies she heads into the hurricane. Dad is missing. Anyway, this is more of a 2 person and 1 dog movie. I am not counting the gators. Aside from that it is an okay movie and has some predictable moments. Barry Pepper and Maya do a fine job. This is an okay to watch movie so just enjoy.- Russell S
