Deep Water

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

I did not like the first episode of this series. The acting seemed a little wooden, there were a lot of gaps in the storyline, and while the scenery was stunning you feel like you jumped into the middle of the plot instead of the beginning. You knew you were missing something. However, I watched episode 2 today and a lot of the blanks were filled in. The storyline opened up a little, you started to feel for the characters, especially Tori and her partner in a police force that seemed to be in the 20th century not the 21st. Watch both episodes and things get better. So far so good.- V. Wilson.

I got hooked on all of the Acorn TV crime dramas because all of them are great!! USA crime dramas are played out with the same characters and repeated story line and the constant episodic marathons…please give us something new, and what happens Amazon Prime offers ACORN TV, where new crime genres are introduced with new story lines and new actors for the USA audience. As a retired NYPD Detective, I love seeing how police departments are portrayed and the UK and Aussie crime dramas provide a new look into policing. Deep Water was like all the other Acorn TV crime dramas; slow because of the new local and actors, but once you get absorbed into the story line, its non stop character building and intense acting. Though the actors are no one famous in the USA, they are all equally talented in their respected roles. The acting, the story line, the new street scenes..Its like getting a tour of Australia’s major city and her suburbs… Plus i like their accents, pretty cute when the women say their lines…. I like the fact that Amazon Prime offers this viewing option for Acorn TV, its a great venue to see other UK type crime dramas in Australia. I hope we are offered TV crime dramas from New Zealand as well…- T. Chin

Very good whodunnit that kept you guessing. The lead characters were good and convincing. You will see quite a few familiar faces in the show from other Aussie shows and even one of the villains from Game of Thrones, who plays the male cop. Bondi Beach is a character in its own right, it looks so gorgeous.- J. Mullally
