Despicable Me 3 [Blu-ray]
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Sequels rarely work. But I have one word for you – Minions! I’m sorry but this is one of those guilty secret pleasure type films. If you are already down with the Minion Franchise, if Despicable Me 1 and 2 were good for you then yes 3 works. The reason it works, if for no other reason, is that you really do want MORE of the characters, stories, and the world this is set in. Like all of the films in this series there is something for all ages – snarky side humor, long form jokes, and things to get the adults involved as well – and the story doesn’t descend into the vulgar or the overtly adult. Again, the only explanation I can offer is, MINIONS!- Val
I personally found the movie hilarious. I missed the very beginning of it in the theater, but I still caught up and spent the film laughing like crazy. I think Bratt may be my favorite villain yet (maybe second, or tied with Vector…). The characters are hilarious.
Yes, the minions are not as prominent in this film, but their cameos are quite amusing. My 4 and 9 year old God children sat glued to the screen, laughing their butts off throughout the film.
Agnes, as always, is a highlight. Her unicorn obsession is always a heart melting addition, and this film takes the cake.
Dru took some time to warm up to. I feel like this may be the brick wall for the franchise. Gru has always been the main character in my eyes, everything revolved around him, and now it’s sort of split, and I’m too in love with Gru to be all in on a twin.
All in all I thought it was a great movie. In fact I intend to see it again in the coming week. Don’t knock it til you try it!

No matter what life changes happen in Gru’s life, the writers of Despicable Me never disappoint – even into the 3rd movie! Of course, anything with authentic 80’s references get my vote every time (Balthazar Bratt). This movie was absolutely awesome and adding Lucy (momma bear) and Dru (bro) did not detract from the storyline, but indeed added to it. I’m glad I purchased this!
