Another great season with Sidney and Geordie kicks off, with consequences that will be felt for the rest of the season. The cast are even better than ever, settled into their roles, with hidden depths hinted at that are very intriguing. Some very funny moments, and the glorious Grantchester and Cambridge backdrops make this one mystery series you won’t want to miss. The actors are really hitting their strides in their respective roles. Still not fond of the love story aspect of it-she is such a drip IMHO. Sidney can do better! But, love isn’t something people can control. Real cliffhanger to the season-I can hardly wait until the next episodes and sure hope they renew it.

There’s just something about mysteries made in the UK that are a cut above every other kind. Awesome!- J. Mullally

Excellent casting and acting. Interesting character development and story line. Season two goes deep into the main characters, which adds to the drama/humanness of the story. I like that there’s some humor and not a lot of gore. Can’t wait for season 3.- KarenPH

Both Grantchester Season 1 and 2 are the usual gentle romps you’ve come to know and enjoy from Masterpiece Theater. The characters are well developed and you can’t help but become close to them. The friendship between the main characters surpasses the differences in their callings, their age, and their outlook on life. Each of them grow and each of them become more because of their friendship. Likewise the supporting characters go from ones that seem to be so needy, to ones who have do so much to give in the way of courage and fortitude, yet underneath it all is that gentle caring for one another.- Mary M.
