Grey’s Anatomy Season 14

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

Season 14 of this drama series follows the tensions and complications of the staff at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. After a fire, Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) renovates the hospital, upgrading the look and functionality of the place. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is in a complicated love triangle, while Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) has to deal with a difficult conflict over one of her patients. Plus, Owen (Kevin McKidd) struggles to help his long-lost sister, Megan (Abigail Spencer).

A lot of catastrophes have gone down over the course of Grey’s Anatomy’s thirteen seasons, but the two-hour opener for Season 14 proves that the most gnarly wreckage happens when base emotions collide.

The premiere centers around Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer), who has been a topic of many conversations over the years thanks to her status as Owen’s (Kevin McKidd) missing sister and the love of Riggs’ (Martin Henderson) life whose disappearance and presumed death in Iraq destroyed their whole family for several seasons. Last season, we learned that she’d been found alive and well, just as Nathan and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) had taken their hook-up to another level.

It’s fully expected that her return will bear the fruit of much of drama for everyone who cares, and it does so. But instead of delving into a several-episode-long arc in the realm of post-traumatic stress from her capture, which had been her brother’s narrative hallmark for so long, her problems are much more physical in nature.

The Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 finale brings happy endings, new beginnings, and not a single death. It’s not only a satisfying way to wrap up Arizona and April’s stories, but it makes for one of the best wedding episodes I’ve seen on years.

Because while Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 24, “All of Me,” is the last time we’ll see Arizona or April, it’s also the perfectly imperfect wedding of Alex and Jo — one that’s been a long time coming.

The wedding brings one disaster after another, but it’s all lighthearted and fun (even when the wedding planner and the mother of the *other* bride are both in danger).

Thursday night’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” got slightly political when one of the characters poked a little fun at the Office of the President.

In the particular scene, Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) is barely recovering from having had invasive brain surgery to remove a tumor from her frontal lobe. She’s being checked out by her neurosurgeon, Tom, who is asking her a series of questions while doing a few physical exercises to ensure that she’s not suffering from any complications.
