I definitely agree with the viewers who said it had a Hallmark movie feel. I always love Reese Witherspoon and Candace Bergen, but there was something really uneven about this movie. Don’t get me wrong…I love a good rom com, but the first half definitely was theater quality, and the second half was more of a made-for-TV movie feel.One thing I have to give the movie credit for was pairing a 40-year-old woman with a younger guy. At first it seemed unrealistic to have these 20somethings fighting over her (and I say that as someone who was single until almost 40 and did date plenty of younger guys). But then I realized part of the reason I felt this was is that we don’t see it in movies enough. It is always a Clooney type with a woman two decades younger and no one bats an eye. So hats off to that.I think in the end it was a great premise, but the execution just didn’t feel fresh or unique enough for me to love it.- SandraDee
When this movie ended I felt all warm & fuzzy. I wanted more time in these characters lives & I wanted it to continue.Reese was amazing. Her character was so real for me. Being a single Mom of two children myself whom, are now young adults. I tested the same waters as she did a little more deeply. I love Michael Sheen in anything. I imagine his hug to be unforgettable & I imagine he smells fantastic. I truly adore Reid Scott & I wish I would have seen him in more films. The girls, what can you say about gifted & talented? Outstanding actors.The guys-well, alone they were all powerful in their own ways. Together they worked off each other flawlessly. I will actually google all of them to see what other works of film they all have completed. They are all actors to watch for in my book!! A feel good movie that reminds us that our deepest family bonds at times have no blood bonds!- Linda Monique
Very cute movie. I am a romantic comedy fiend – from the black and white classics, through all of Meg Ryan’s, Sandra Bullock’s, and naturally, also Reese Witherspoon’s. (While you Were Sleeping is probably my idea of the perfect romantic comedy- just so you know here I am coming from) This movie is one of the good ones but not one of the best. The cast was excellent. The setting was perfect. The situations were believable. The story line is a little bit light, compared to some other movies, but you do leave the movie feeling good. If you are choosing to stream this movie at night, because you can’t sleep, it is an excellent choice.- Janine Kube
