Jurassic World 5-Movie Collection
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I had pre-ordered this set in hopes of having a good 4k experience, but those hopes came crashing down starting when I took the plastic off. First, the steelbook does look very nice! Then that’s where my problems start. Upon opening the steelbook, I see they stack all of the discs on a plastic “push to release” spindle instead of the discs having their own sleeve or flap like other collections I own. Which brings me to my next thing, the scratches. Yes I know blu-ray discs are hard to scratch but my “The lost world” and “Jurassic World” discs both had curved scratches around the center of the discs! I tried to take a video to capture them though I am not sure how well they show up. I found out when The lost world stopped at around the 22 min mark. Couldn’t skip past the part. So I tried playing it in my PC and same spot it stopped. Then I tried the Jurassic world movie. Same thing! Froze at about 57 min mark. Very frustrating when you spend a lot of money on something especially movies and they cant make a proper box set to make sure this doesn’t happen! Thankfully Amazon helped me and is shipping me a replacement for the set. It is not Amazons fault this occurred, It was just poor engineering on the manufactures end. Hope to have better luck with the next set.-Dylan P.
Yes indeed, this is a STEALbook — pun intended. It’s another one of those “let’s see how many disks we can pile on one spindle and make more money” items. Five disks on two sleeves! On opening, disks were loose in the container, and the two that remained on the spindles were almost impossible to remove without flexing the disks excessively. My first task was to get out the Dremel, grind down those pesky spindles and put the disks in proper plastic sleeves — all of which fit in the box nicely.-bensonb
Based on the reviews of thr steelbook version i have to say the Blu ray pack by itself without the steelbook case is better. Each movie comes with it’s own sleeve so no need to worry about scratched discs or the movie skipping certain scenes due to the scratches so get the Blu ray pack instead of the steelbook. Jurrasic park is a great movie series, i’ve seen all of them except the second one. This is a must buy for anyone who likes Dinosuars- Sonic
