Legends of Tomorrow Season 3
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. After saving the timeline and all of reality from the Legion of Doom, the Legends returned to present-day to find dinosaurs roaming the streets of Los Angeles, suggesting that their work keeping the timeline intact is far from over.
This is, (and was at least up until Black Lightning), the “other” DC show airing on the CW. It is a spin-off of both Flash and Arrow, with secondary characters from those shows making up the main cast. It takes a mix of the meta-human, alien, and time-travel aspects from Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl and puts it all in one, which can make for a very good, sometimes very silly (see the end of the season finale for this season), and a lot of times tongue-in-cheek show.
This season there was a lot of cast shakeup with characters leaving and arriving. The big additions were Constantine, Wally West, Nora Dhark (played by Brandon Routh’s wife Courtney Ford), Zari, and a new characters from an agency called The Time Bureau, which was created by Rip after the legends broke time. I will not say anything about which characters leave, although chances are most reading this already know.
The focus of the season is on magic, the totems, and a time demon named Mallus. Damien Dhark is yet again a central figure in the events of the season, but the show actually managed to do some character development for him as opposed to being the same bad guy he has been since appearing on Arrow. The addition of Constantine as a series regular about halfway through the season was very good, and they managed to work him in well.
For those who get the discs, the show looks and sounds great on blu-ray. The extras include deleted scenes, all the Earth-X crossover episodes, a gag reel, and some behind the scenes and character featurettes. The extras that are the same as on the other blu-ray sets for the other shows are the feature about the crossover episodes and the highlights of the comic-con panels for all the DC shows. My only complaint about the disc set is that, like all the WB shows on blu-ray, there is no true season play mode that allows you to pick up where you left off.
This show definitely has a different feel from the other DC shows, but that is good (in my opinion). It is not a carbon copy of anything and can be a bit more humorous. I cannot say you will like or love this show even if you like or love Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl, but if you have been a fan of the show up to this point, I think this season is definitely worth checking out.

This series has sunk to it’s lowest. I know the writing injects humor But, NOT FUNNY when you put this very Stupid, Idiotic character Beebo, a plush talking toy into one episode, but they brought it back to fight the demon villain in the Final episode was absolutely ridiculous. This was neither funny or cute. Whoever writers, producers allowed this should NEVER be allowed to write any tv/movie/episode in Hollywood again. and what’s with every other character introduced being gay. That isn’t character development essential for plot, that’s just sheer sloppy, lazy writing. This series has lost a fan.
