Lost Girl Season 4
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Bo is a succubus seductress who discovers she is part of a clandestine order known as the Fae. Forced to swear an allegiance to either the Light or Dark Fae clans, Bo decides to live by her own rules – and seeks to unravel the mysteries of her past.
I have enjoyed Lost Girl since the 1st episode of the 1st season, however, season 4 has been very disjointed. It almost seems as if the writers are having trouble putting together a cohesive season. We are seeing less of Kenzi. Dyson doesn’t really have much to do, ect…
***SPOILERS (sort of, tried not to give details)***
The 1st 3 seasons developed some interesting relationships & season 4 seems to just be tearing them apart, but for no reason.
A loved character has been killed.
Kenzi & Bo’s friendship is on the rocks.
The Wanderer storyline isn’t making a ton of sense, so far (at least to me).
We hardly see Vex (who I think is a great character).
Dyson has turned into a self – pitying, “neutered” wolf 🙁
Not sure what is up with Trick?!
Bo is just blindly following the Wanderer which goes against her independence (that she had been so proud of for the first 3 years).

I love this series. It’s quirky, funny, erotic and action packed. However, I am worried. Season four featured the same fine acting, but the writing really lacked cohesion for me. It’s like the writers didn’t know where to take things after the Varuda plot and they’re like a guitarist trying to find their way of expressing themselves through a solo, but just not finding the right notes. I hope the show comes back for a fifth season and that the writers find their way or I’m afraid our dear Bo will be gone. BRING BACK KENZI.-Penda, Scourge of the Christians
Caveat: I still haven’t seen the last 4 episodes. That said:
I’ve enjoyed the wackiness of this show from the first season, and in my opinion that’s only gotten better, with every character getting to have a fully developed *character*. However, the plot-lines that stretch across episodes (e.g. figuring out the whole Wanderer thing) lack…what’s the word…logic…and the trajectory of those longer-term narratives isn’t very clear or tightly put-together. A lot of threads seem to be dropped, though, again, I’ll have to see it to the end to know for sure.
If you’ve enjoyed other seasons of the show, though, I suspect you will find this one also worthwhile. I know I have.-Amazon Customer
