Witches of East End Season 1
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I absolutely love this show! I am so upset that it only had two seasons. I first saw this on Netflix and loved it. I watched it all a couple of times and then Netflix took it off the website…. I was so angry about it that I had to buy the show on dvd. I love it. Great cast and a great story line. I love anything witch related. The only bad thing is that it only had two seasons and of course they didn’t know it would get cancelled so the ending was expecting another season to finish it up. I would highly recommend this show.- RoswellGirl13
This is much better done than “Charmed” ever was; it’s painful to watch just how low-budge that show was. I mean, the SFX were worse than what we were getting on Star Trek: TNG. The lame sets. The only thing interesting there were the outfits they put the girls into.
So, this one is better, but it’s still a witchy soap opera, complete with girl/guy problems, sibling problems, romance problems, family issues, with the bottomless cauldron of mystical magic tricks and devices and gimmicks always used to magically fix anything.
It’s basically the Charmed Power of Three, but this time around with mom and two daughters…and a witchy older sister…and the ex-husband…and the black lesbian ex-lover, and more. There are portals across time and space, fantasy war, magic tricks, and some decidedly grown-up bits, like super-tarty Madchen Amick going surprisingly and most delightfully nude, some salty language, and some scenes of a tentacle demon doing, ah, things with a most assuredly enthusiastic young lady.
Bottom Line: It’s still witchy, still chicky, still soap-opera-y, but has some pretty good production values and special effects. If you dig your witch TV shows, this one should work for you.

I came across Witches of East End on Netflix in 2015 and was hooked after watching a few episodes. The characters are great and the actors have chemistry. The Beauchamps actually feel like a family of adult women dealing with problems despite how paranormal they are. When the show was cancelled I felt so disappointed but at least Melissa de la Cruz wrote an ending for the fans in one of her most recent books.
