Orange Is the New Black Season 5

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

Riot. A complete series covering nothing more than a prison riot. Disturbing. This season lacks the fluid flow between the today and the backstory of each person (actor). I was wondering if I had fallen asleep during parts of each episode. Maybe I did, which would be understandable. Five star reviews? I’m truly puzzled.
Yes, the actors are excellent. Music, great. Photography, outstanding. Screenplay, what happened here? A year long prison riot?-Cook & Collector

Have always loved OITNB, however, this season got on my nerves. The first episode, they had a blaring annoying siren that went loudly honking for nearly the whole episode. The plot line was ridiculous to me; that convicts would overthrow authority and be “running” a prison for the length of time they did. If not for the absolutely wonderful and hilarious Uzo Aduba who plays Suzanne, I don’t think I would have been able to stand this season. I found the plot line boring and it didn’t have the laugh out loud moments the other seasons had. I still love the show, just not this particular season.- Marie Capone
