Saw Peter Rabbit at the movies with my sister and great niece (6 years old). I have also just preordered. I loved this movie. The animation is unbelievable. I felt that I could reach out and touch the bunnies they were so realistic. One thing I really liked in the movie was that Peter took responsibility for his actions. Yes, he was mischievous and pulled a lot of pranks on Farmer Green and the younger Mr. Greene, but in the end he saw how he had hurt people. Think this is an important lesson for all of us to learn. Peter is feuding with the elderly man who lives in the hose next to where his friend lives and she loves him so much. Well, soething happens to the older man and his nephew who is even worse gets the house. This amps up the feud because the new young guy is more tech savvy and a bit younger and faster too. Peter and his forest friends do what they can to run him out. One of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time. My 9-year old son loved it, as did his parents and grandparents. It was witty without being totally raunchy or inappropriate for a family audience…or on the other side of the spectrum, without being saccharine sweet or melodramatic. If you’re a purist, then know it’s not “like the classic books.” However, the mischievous essence of Peter was captured perfectly. Our family unanimously voted Benjamin the character we would most like to have as a pet. It was fun to look up the voice talent behind the CGI animals, too. Loved it! -SugarBear
