DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

As a Vietnam Veteran, I could identify with the actors in this movie on many occasions!!! In fact, it took me four attempts to view the full movie. This film is not only for veteran families but for anyone who is, or has been, associated with combat veterans. It hopefully, will show people, the ‘personal war’, veterans encounter on their return home. The problem here is that the ‘demons’ are not visible; unlike a physical wound, which is visible and, therefore, treatable! Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is difficult to treat and this film, handles this delicate and intricate affliction with care and respects those, suffering from it.
I would recommend this film to anyone who is in touch with service men/women…and, I might add, rescue personnel, police and paramedics…and are trying to understand why their loved ones and/or friends are different after their Tour of Duty. The actors in this movie do an admirable and believable job in their roles as ‘damaged’ servicemen.- LOBO SOLITARIO

As a civilian I don’t have a whole lot to say…but wow. Really appreciate this movie because it’s so easy to find war fluff, but so difficult to find films that even feel like they’re speaking truth to you. This one felt painful, and real.- Marcus Campbell

I love Miles Teller. I also became very involved in the story line immediately. This is an action filled emotional storyline that is both relatable and clear as to our current culture. Although politics is not the main story line there is a “backstory” that gives you a feel of the political consequences in dealing with the military upon return “from serving our country”. It is a story of survival, PTSD and an understanding of after care of the veterans in this free world. I got sucked in the storyline immediately. I cried and then found myself very angry and embarrassed at the treatment of veterans returning home. My opinion over all of the military and the after care once they return home shocked me. In the end I was thinking this is only a movie. As the movie concluded, I learned it was based on a true story. Peter Berg produced this quality film. If you are or know of someone that has served in the military this is a must see film. If you watch it once, you will want to watch it again. – s jackson
