The Big Bang Theory Season 1 [Blu-ray]

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

My fiance loves this show. I do not but she is making me give it 5 stars. It is her happy show because it is never too serious and she says I remind her of Sheldon… I do not see it but if it makes her happy I suppose I can give it 5 stars. Most of the show appears to be about geniuses getting dates which I can not relate to as I am not obsessed with black holes or physics but they do have much enthusiasm about it and the acting is very dry and on point. I feel sometimes they make Penny too dumb but again my fiance loves the show so 5 stars-EmmaAnne

From the beginning BBT was different.
Unlike other sitcoms, which are funny, but not really a world that you would want to enter into, the gang in BBT were the friends you wish you had – even if you aren’t a scientist !
Unlike so many “adults” on TV and in the real world, these guys have not lost their wonder and fascination with the world and while being serious scholar/scientists, they still like to have fun
Their world is inviting and its easy to imagine sitting down with them ( but not in Sheldon’s spot) and sharing some Thai food.
The other thing that makes their world interesting and rich is the many, many cultural references that come up in each episode.-Keith C.

We have never been fans of sitcoms. This was recommended to us by a friend and to appease her, we watched an episode a couple years ago. After that, we became hooked and looked forward to watching it each night since several episodes run back-to-back each evening. We decided that we needed to own each of the seasons as they came out so we could see them in their intended order. The individual characters are lovable in their own way and I love the fact that they included a character with selective mutism. Our favorites are Sheldon and Bernadette (she is introduced in a later season), though the series would not be the same if any one of them was phased out of the series. The series is geared toward a mature audience. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a well-developed group of quirky characters. The only complaint I have about the dvd set is that one of the hinges was broken when we received it and the whole door fell out when we open the case. It’s that cheap translucent plastic that tends to break under stress anyway.- Karenann
