The Handmaid’s Tale: Season 2

This is really powerful. I love Margaret Atwood’s novels. The Handmaid’s Tale is forceful and disturbing because it has enough plausibility to make it frightening. This series captures the eeriness perfectly. Season 2 goes beyond where the novel ends and remains faithful to the author’s intent and what might be expected to occur after the end of the novel. Elisabeth Moss gives such a visceral performance that you feel like you are trapped in Gilead, too, squirming and wanting to escape…. It’s definitely hard to watch just one episode at a time because the whole season feels so urgent.

This is probably the most incredible thing I have ever watched in my life. Elizabeth Moss will pull you in and she wont let you go. You’ll watch season one, but within the first episode you will be hooked and finish off season two by binge watching because you cant take your eyes off it. I have to say it was a little disturbing to see ‘Rory Gilmore’ in a role such as this but she has proven she CAN ACT HER BUTT OFF. (Go Alexis) And Serena ( Yvonne Strahovski.) …OMG she is amazing!!! Whoever was in charge of the cast did an amazing job of putting these incredible female actors together. You’ll believe it all and you wont be able to stop watching. This just can NOT end with season 2. This story could go on for years.

It’s going to be hard to shake the Handmaid’s Tale. There were times I had to stop, and gather myself and take a minute to digest what I was watching.

Not nearly as good as season one. Worth watching if you enjoyed the first season. The first episode gets nowhere and is kind of dumb. The story picks up later in the season, but feels repetitive. She escapes, she gets caught, then she escapes, then she gets caught, then she escapes. They could have done the whole season in half the time and missed nothing. The acting however is exceptional. The settings and cinematography is also terrific. A very well done show in need of better writing. Still, it’s better than most.
