If you are expecting an all time great, look elsewhere. Why did I still give this movie 5 stars? I realize that the producers were not out to make a blockbuster. They went back to making a good, old fashioned action/adventure movie and that is all it was meant to be. Mindless fun for fans of Fast & Furious or Twister like movies. That is how to easily describe the action and drama in this movie. The only thing I did not like was the clear reference to The Mummy movies when(spoiler alert!) the storm appeared to have a human face. This movie reminds me of something SyFy Channel would make if SyFy Channel had a slightly bigger budget meaning they were out to make a theater level movie which is what The Hurricane Heist is: a well made, action packed, racing/disaster movie that is like a combination of Need for Speed meets Twister with an upper level crime feel. Very good movie. It kept my attention and had me sitting on the edge of my couch cushions. I would recommend this movie. I put off watching this because while I thought it would be good I wasn’t sure I would like it. But this movie surprised me it the best way possible. If you are like me and are putting it off, stop and watch it. You won’t be disappointed.- Leslie Campbell

If Twister and Hard Rain (classic Christian Slater movie 1998, check it out) had a baby–it would be this movie. They shove a lot of classic troupes into this, but overall it’s a fun film. Plus, if you have a love for bad southern accents this movie was made for you.-Elizabeth
