Going through a tough time in my marriage. Deciding to do The Love Dare and wanted to watch Fireproof, when I saw there was this with the first five movies from the Kendrick brothers, I jumped on it! For under $30, and the way the movies speak to me. It’s very encouraging. They’re cheesy and sometimes lacking in quality, but they are solid stories with God at the center. I can’t complain. When I’m feeling down, I’ll pop in one for a reminder of God’s love and grace.
This is a wonderful set of family films filled with powerful scenes of humanity, families, and individuals, in need of the healing touch that is only found in relatioship with our God and Creator. There are take-aways that can literally change your life, marriage, family direction, self worth, and purpose. That is quite a statement, but nonetheless true. I watched War Room on New Years Eve instead of watching the ball drop. Miss Clara’s prayer in her closet and the scripture in the final scene made me burst into tears, for it is the answer to all of our ills, both individual and national. I could NOT have rung in the New Year any better. The entire set of films is wonderful. Hollywood provides “entertainment” that glorifies violence, sex, drugs, demonology, vampires, the occult and everything from the dark side. If you would like to take a breath of life and see the other side, then I highly recommend these films. And watch the extra features too, you will find a blessing there.
All very good Christian movies which my husband and I really enjoyed and which also made us think. The commentaries are so wonderful. These movies were made for the love of and the glory of God, and the way He provided just what was needed so many times is awesome. My husband and I watched all of these when he was unemployed for more than 18 months (we borrowed them from the local library). Now that my husband is working again, we wanted to buy the set to support the wonderful work that these people are doing and to encourage them to continue making their inspiring movies.
